A desperate fight between the Black Dogs and the attacking creatures leaves casualties on both sides.

Faye and Finn make their way to the deserted ghost town of Silver Cross. As they enter the town a sleeping Faye is jolted out of another mysterious dream by a terrifying ambush, as misshapen humanoid creatures attack their car.

Back in Winter Mill, Liz and Jimmy are following their friends' progress. Jimmy realizes that the trail they've been following looks much like the historic Silver Trail; he guesses that the kidnappers are making their way into the heart of the old silver mining territories.

The insects begin to find their way in to the motel, and Faye and Finn are forced to leave. They make it to the car, and finally leave the swarm behind. But when they catch up with the Black Dogs, they find that the trail has gone cold.

Faye and Finn find shelter in an abandoned motel; as the storm of insects rages outside, they take the opportunity to rest and recuperate.

Faye and Finn are on the trail of the kidnappers, but a sudden uncanny swarm of weird, aggressive insects forces them off the road. Terrified, they look for shelter...

As the attackers escape with their hostages, Faye realizes they may be connected to Lucas' disappearance. With a recovered Finn, and the rest of the Black Dogs, she gives chase in her car.

Jimmy breaks his leg, and Faye has another wolf dream; later, she joins Finn at the Black Dogs' camp. When they arrive, they find a fight is going on between the bikers and a group of eerie strangers. In the confusion, three of the Black Dogs are taken hostage- and Finn is stabbed.

Faye, Liz and Jimmy find disturbing evidence about Lucas' disappearance; and Finn returns from the woods.

Faye leaves Finn to talk to his pack and makes her way back. The party is over, and she meets Liz and Jimmy, who agree to help look for Lucas. Meanwhile, Finn finds out from the Black Dogs about a mysterious job offer; the bikers are threatening to leave.
