As you know, Madonna's family is originally from Italy.
So when an earthquake hit in Madonna's grandfather's hometown, Pacentro in Italy, this week, the pop queen was quick to respond to the disatster.
Madonna has made a substantial donation to the victims of the earthquake and says her heart goes out to the families that have lost loved ones and their homes.
It is reported that she has donated half a million dollars, and wants to help with the reconstruction of the region.
