Hello!
Today we’ll be discussing a very important issue among people today. Every year, thousands of people practice unhealthy methods to lose weight, such as purging and starving their stomachs. In today‘s society, having the perfect, “hourglass” body is a must, and many young women have low self-confidence because of this.
So many people today have low confidence and are very self-conscious of their body, even me! As we try to find the “perfect shape,” our thoughts linger on the ideas of unhealthy habits, and many people fall into the practice of these habits, leading to sickness and sometimes, even death.
I am very concious of my body. In the past, I thought that a good “life hack” would be to skip lunch and skimp on dinner. As time wore on, I ended up skipping all meals for weeks. I was unhappy with myself and was pushing my body to its limits, wanting the “perfect” shape. I would go to pool parties and be ashamed of myself when I wore a swimsuit.
One day, I realized that my body was not going to get any smaller. I had pushed myself to my limits and had to stop being so unhealthy. I slowly began to eat all 3 meals again and I was happy with myself. My skin seemed to have life again. I exercised and ate healthier, and I maintained the body shape I had created while even getting a little smaller. Not eating wasn’t working nearly as well as my new routine was!
Remember that you are beautiful. Your body shape won’t matter in 50 years. What will matter is how you treated yourself and others, how big your heart was, and what you did to help this world. Don’t worry, as I did, about your body. I admit my petty mistakes of the past and I hope to be better in the future. Just practice being healthy such as eating better foods and you will look amazing, because you are amazing.
