Heatwave Help

114 месяцев назад

Hi all, Alice here!

Currently in Britain there is a massive heatwave. At the start of the heatwave, I enjoy the sunny weather. But, a few days in I am burning up!

I decided to give you all some top tips of how to stay cool and not burn during a heatwave...

TIP 1: Sun cream -

Sun cream is key to not burning if you want to tan or are simply staying out in the sun too long. I suggest you use strong sun cream and apply it in layers to make sure you are completely covered!

TIP 2: Minimal clothing -

It's summer! Wear clothes that aren't going to make you too hot. I suggest crop-tops, sleveless tops and shorts/skirts.

If you wear too much clothing, it can contribute to heat stroke. Trust me, you don't want heat stroke because it makes you feel very sick!

TIP 3: Stay indoors -

We all love to enjoy the summer sun, but shortening your time out in it can help you avoid heat stroke and sun burn. I'm not saying that you shouldn't have fun in the sun, but be sensible with the time you spend out there.

TIP 4: Wear hats or use scrunchies -

Long hair especially can make you feel even hotter. Your hair feels heavier and drags you mood down. The back of your head could get sweaty, leaving you feeling uncomfortable.

Tie your hair back in a bun or ponytail - or, if you don't want to, wear a hat. Hats cover your face from the sun; preventing burns.

Have fun and stay safe!
