You're in the mall. You see this person that you become interested in. You suddenly want to know more about them, but you're shy. You've never made the first move before and you're afraid of rejection. You end up going home, regretting not doing anything to acquaint yourself with the stranger.

A lot of us can relate to the above. How many of you have seen someone that interests you in a romantic way? How many of you have made the move to introduce yourself and get to know the person? If your hand is still down, then read on.

I'll have to push aside being a liar and just keep my hand down because, just like many of you, I transform into a chicken whenever I see someone I like. It's very hard to just walk up to a random person, try to have a normal conversation and then ask them out or for their number. Most people would just ignore you.

I have a tactic that had worked for me before, scoring me 3 dates with a really cool guy. Here's what I did:

I was at the mall. My hands were filled with shopping bags and I was ready to go home. Just then I spotted someone who I had been admiring for a long time but was too afraid to talk to. I freaked out for about 5 minutes. After freaking out for an additional 10 minutes, I came up with a plan. I pretended to be in a hurry and ran straight into my crush, making sure to drop my bags. I apologized and he helped me pick my stuff up, engaging me in a funny conversation. I used all the jokes I knew and he seemed to be enjoying my company. Finally he asked me if I wanted to hang out sometime and the rest was history.

Of course, this would not work for everybody. As a matter of fact, I think it was just by luck that my plan worked. But remember, if you're shy to talk to your crush, think of a smart and sneaky way to get his/her attention. It just might be your lucky day.
