Hello, dolls!
As promised, we have the second installment of the Skin Guide series, covering a possible routine for those with skin on the drier side! If you aren't sure if you have dry skin, a piece of thin or tissue paper pressed onto your forehead will not stick there.
Cleanser:
Those with dry skin need to pick their cleansers carefully. It's all about maintaining those natural oils, so go for a very gentle cleanser with soothing ingredients like cucumber or calming milk.
Toner:
Toners also play an important role for those with dry skin. If you fall into this category, your toner should work double-time to tone your skin and prep it to be moisturized. Choose a water-based toner, preferably with antioxidants and an ingredient like niacinamide that goes well with your cells.
Moisturiser:
There are lots of moisturizers out there made specifically for dry skin - go for one of these ones, preferably something oil-based to build up hydration. Usually, they are a little on the thick side. Go for extra vitamins, like vitamins A, E, and C.
Mask/Treatment:
Anything with extra hydration is going to help your skin lots! Sheet masks often pack a hydration punch, but be careful of peel masks that can strip oil from your skin. Bubble masks are also a fun alternative!
How do you care for your dry skin?
