The Shrink Wrap Spectacular was the title of Henrik vibskov’s collection for the fall – and spectacular it was. A large installation of white drums was hit by drum sticks when the models stepped on the pedals which represented the podium and the installation.
The collection was more mature and classic than Vibskov’s previous collections, especially the men’s section was less gaudy than usual. But with that being said there were still a lot of curios things in the collection, although the colors, tones and patterns were slightly toned down.
A really cool feature is how Vibskov is toying with zippers in a compelling way - especially on the front of the men’s shorts or as a detail in an oversized hooded coat.
The collection presented shades of burned orange and cream and some fine items in black/white/gray knit with yellow, red and blue constrasts respectively, almost Mondrian – but with a stripe of purple to break the look.
There is always a special loving feeling of Vibskov’s shows because his fans loves his unique look. Over all a really great show!
