Getting Into an Exercise Routine
Hi, dolls!
I started running with my mom in our neighborhood a few months ago, and I thought it was so rewarding. Every day I got up and ran before school. In fact, with the help of a diet and excercising every day, I lost some weight in the past few months! So I wanted to share with you guys my tips to getting into an exercise routine.
Tip #1
If you have trouble getting up in the morning, set your alarm to play music instead of beeping. (Note: If your alarm clock only beeps, use your phone or iPod to play music.) It helps a lot; I know from personal experience.
Tip #2
Sometimes it got hard to keep running every day, and I sometimes wanted to just stay home. But if you give yourself little challenges, it keeps it fun and is easier to keep going. For example, if you're running and all you can think about how tired you are, or how much you'd rather be at home, say to yourself, 'Let's see how fast I can get to the next mailbox,' or 'I bet I can get to that fire hydrant in 1-2 minutes'. It really makes a difference.
Tip #3
Take breaks! If you feel yourself becoming tired or extremely hot, stop for a minute and drink some water. I cannot stress enough the importance of this. If you run every day for 1 or 2 miles and don't take any breaks, you run the risk of over-exhausting yourself, and it isn't worth the risk. So always be sure to bring a bottle of water along with you when you run or walk.
I hope this helps you get into an exercise routine! If you guys have any ideas for future posts, then please let me know in the comments.
Byeeeee! :)
