Dreams are great thing. They let you drift away in new world, live new lives. But we cannot dream awake, can we? Oh, yes, we can. But then it is called daydreaming. Here's some advice regarding.


WHEN

OK

- When you are trying to sleep. Instead of thinking about your problems, you can enter your imaginary world.

- At a boring class. It is important to stay focused, but you can 'zone out' for a few minutes in case the lesson is too long or you already know the subject.

- When you are taking a break from studying/working. It may help you relax.


Not OK

- When you are with your friends. Quality time with friends is important, you can daydream later.

- On an important lesson. When the class requires participation, you should better stay focused.


WHAT

Anything! Whatever makes you happy. Whatever makes you peaceful. You can include anyone in them - your friends, crush, celeb... You can have multiple storylines, different endings. Your stories may not be always happy, but life is too hard already, why suffer in our imaginary world as well? You don't have to be embarrassed about your stories - they may be silly or overly pathetic, but it is ok, no one will ever hear them unless you decide the opposite.


CONCLUSION

It is OK to live your imaginary life every once in a while. But if you catch yourself having trouble focusing on your real life and living in your daydreams, you should talk to someone. Because you wouldn't want your life to pass by without you actually living it.
