Designing With Saminasparkle4
Welcome back!
Today’s post will be a Q and A about designing with one of the site’s most passionate designers, Saminasparkle4!
Q-What’s your favorite part of designing on Stardoll?
A-My favorite part of designing on Stardoll has to be coming up with new ideas for designs and being unique and original. It lets me express myself and be creative in so many different ways!
Q - Who/what inspires your general gothic vibe when designing?
A - I am hugely inspired by the imagery and works of some of my favorite authors some being Anne Rice, Emily Bronte, Mary Shelley and Susan Hill. Another huge part of the inspiration for my designs is the music I enjoy usually containing an eerie, dark and sibylline sound suiting the imagery of my designs. Some musicians that inspire my style include: Peter Murphy, Rozz Williams, Nik Wade, Robert smith, Anja Huwe, Siouxsie Sioux and Patricia Morrison ( and a lot more too!)
Q - When did you first start designing on Stardoll?
A - I first started around when I made my account in 2013 - mostly with band logo designs. They didn't turn out too well but I enjoyed it so I carried on designing!
Q - Did you find that designing got easier for you with time?
A - Yes, designing does get easier with time just like any hobby you can take up. It takes a lot of patience and commitment!
Q - What advice would you give to new designers?
A - My advice for new designers is to keep going! Yes, this may sound cliche, but don't be afraid to express yourself through art. Don't be afraid to be different or unique. I've received a lot of hate and criticism for my taste and style but I kept going and so should you!
Many thanks to Saminasparkle4 -- you should definitely check out her designs!
Until next time,
