White Hot Fashion
A recuring trend every season is monochromatic outfits, whether a bright block color, or a simple black or white. This season saw head-to-toe white looks on catwalks including: Adam Lippes, Sacai, Masha Ma, Louis Vuitton menswear, and my personal favorite, Off-White. For this blog post I have styled some white outfits!
My first outfit was inspired by Virgil Abloh's debut at Louis Vuitton back in June. I love how the classic white shirt has been updated with industrial-inspired pockets and strappy belts. I paired it with some wide-leg pants, however you could choose some bike shorts or a tailored pant. I then added a clear vinyl bag and matching white heels with clear cut-outs, and a pair of white frame sunglasses. For my next outfit, I was inspired by Off-White. Another trend this season was the bike shorts, which I styled with a blazer, similar to looks seen at Nassir Zadeh and Nanushka. I added a classic t-shirt and some clear vinyl heels, and an Off-White bag which adds a subtle pop of yellow.
For my final outfits, I wanted to introduce pops of color. With my first outfit, I chose an oversized white shirt with slashes and hoop detailing. You could add a colored top underneath. I paired the shirt with some white boots, which work perfectly as they have the chunky bright blue heel. I then added a blue Givenchy bag, which works really nicely as it has the gradient strap. For my final outfit, I went for a sporty look. This Nicopanda track jacket and skort makes the trend a lot more wearable, with the black stripes helping to break up the solid white. I added a pair of Off-White sneakers, which is a great match with the black laces and red cable tie detail. To complete the outfit, I added an oversized red clutch.
