Those Tired Days!

We all get tired sometimes! Whether you stayed up late finishing a project or just couldn't get to sleep, having a tired day is no fun. Here are a few tips to help you get through!



Have a good breakfast!
While your night may not have been perfect, that doesn't mean your day can't start the right way! Make sure you have some complex carbohydrates for energy - wholegrain bread is a great choice! I also like to add some protein with beans or nut butter, and top it off with a BIG serving of fruit or veg (or both). A healthy breakfast will give you energy to get through the day - something you will need if you didn't sleep well.


Dress up!
Throw on comforable clothing that makes you feel good! I find my tired days often double as low confidence days, and dressing in a way that makes me feel good boosts my confidence. In turn, higher confidence helps me keep my head up, which stops it from nodding off to sleep!


Prepare to sleep better next time.
Once you're through the day, it's important to prepare yourself for better sleep this time. Relax - don't do any important work unless you really have to, as a tired brain does not tend to do the best work. Chill out until you're ready to go to bed, and hopefully this time you'll feel great the next morning!
