Failure isn't Final

75 hónappal ezelőtt

Hi Dollies!

Perhaps you've heard stories of Walt Disney's rejection for 'not being creative enough', the many struggles Albert Einstein encountered in his time as a student, the 12 publishers who turned down J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter, or, most notably, Abraham Lincolm's experience of 28 years filled with failure.

Everyone is going to encounter some form of failure, some worse than others; it's an sad and inevitable fact of life. In a world driven by the need for success, it's very easy to miss the goals that we aim for and this significantly affects the way we view ourselves. Most of you would know it hurts when this happens. Feeling like a failure is never pleasant.

We can't always choose what happens to us, but we can choose how we react to it. There is a choice to either let it knock us down, or use it as a booster to build ourselves up even more. Failure offers us the opportunity to reflect on our current state, learn lessons from the negative side of life and even shift our path somewhere else.

Knowing this, I'd love to share one of my favorite Proverbs: "As a man thinks within himself, so he is." (23:7) It's basically saying it's your beliefs which ultimately decide your behavior. Not your peers, nor any outward situation, just your own state of mind. Don't dwell on your failure because failure isn't final.

Take care,

♡ Joanne
