A Healthy Start

"Breakfast is the most important meal of the day."


We have all heard this phrase at least a million times, but often times we completely ignore it. Life gets busy and in the way, making breakfast less and less of a priority. However, we need this meal more than any other to wake us up and keep us going. Breakfast boosts brain activity, provides energy, fires up your metabolism and much more. Since this morning meal is super important yet hard to fit in to a busy schedule, I thought I would share with you three of my favorite quick breakfast ideas.


1. A fruit smoothie. - Blend up some of your favorite fruits, ice, yogurts, and more! Make these ahead of time and keep them fresh in either your fridge or freezer. If you keep it in your freezer, you can take it out on your way out the door. It will thaw on the way to your destination, so you will be able to drink it up!


2. Yogurt topped with granola - Choose your favorite flavor next time you visit the grocery store and whip it out on a busy morning. Sprinkle some granola on the top, and you're ready to go!


3. Apple slices dipped in peanut butter - Slice up an apple, and spread some peanut butter on each wedge to add some flavor. This is super simple but very tasty at the same time.


I hope at least one of these three ideas got your taste buds going, and I hope that you will give them a try rather than skipping the most important meal of the day! :)
