Street Styling

93個月之前

When it comes to Fashion Week, street style is now as important as the actual shows, and can also be at the heart of big trends. For this blog post I have created some street style inspired outfits.

Starting with my first outfits, I wanted to keep the focus on statement outerwear. Puffer coats are my go-to, and a different and interesting way to style them could be closed and off the shoulder. Choosing a block colour such as red, or even a metallic makes it a stand-out piece, as well as adding 'life' to the otherwise monochrome look. Another outerwear style would be a bomber jacket. As they have been on trend for a couple of seasons now, I chose this Y/Project inspired one to keep it fresh, with the interesting zipper detailing bringing a new take on the jacket. Sticking with the luxury streetwear theme, I could not leave out these amazing Raf Simons inspired sneakers created by ThePerpetua! These have been my staple item for a while now, and I love the contrast when worn with the cute frill socks.

My final looks carry on with the luxury streetwear influence, with brands such as GCDS and Vetements. This time, I have focused on the detail. Street style photography isn't just about the whole look, but the close-ups on the design features! This GCDS inspired mesh-top is perfect for this, and ties the look in with the DIY patch trend too. I kept the coat, jeans and boots simple, and added a red and white striped bag for a pop of colour. The last look is pretty simple with the turtleneck and jeans, so I chose to style some stripy boots with a matching bag. To add contrast to the coral fur on the bag, I added the green trucker hat. I think a leather jacket worn over the shoulders (or even a fur coat) would complete the look.
