Fashion Myths - Busted!

94個月之前

Everyone know there are just certain fashion "rules" that no one questions. You know, things like 'don't wear black and blue together', 'don't mix silver and gold', and 'don't mix and match prints.' Well, what if I told you that these are just myths? Today I'm going to teach you why these are all phony-baloney. Let's go!

Myth: "Never wear black and blue together!"

It's certainly true that if you pair these colors together wrong, it'll look accidental. But that's true with every outfit! There's nothing wrong with wearing these colors together. One way to pull it off is to do more of a cobalt or royal blue instead of navy. This plays up the difference in color, which makes it more exciting.

Myth: "Don't wear silver and gold at the same time!"

This is just silly! If you have a gold wedding ring, does that mean you can never wear silver again? Of course not! Sure, you have to be a bit strategic in styling it, but it can definitely be done. One way to do this is to wear gold and silver bangles. Since it's a growing runway trend, you can also go to any jewelry store, as they will usually have at least a few gold-and-silver pieces of jewelry.

Myth: "Don't mix prints!"

The trick is to find balance. For example, I wouldn't recommend wearing a cheetah print top with a leopard print skirt. But, if you wore a leopard print skirt with a polka dot top, that would work. The main rule is to keep it all in the same color family. My personal favorite way to mix prints is a high-waisted floral skirt and a striped crop top.

I hope this was helpful to all you guys! If you have any suggestions for future posts, please let me know! Also, thank you to @santannaflower for helping me with this post! (Love you, sis!)
