Start Your Morning Right!

The way you start your morning can seriously affect the way you feel for the rest of the day! If you want to try and create some great new habits, try introducing some of these things into your routine before you leave the house.



Drink a Glass of Water
Starting your day with hydration is not only the perfect accompaniment to a good breakfast, it can also help rejuvenate you for the day. Remember - when you're sleeping, you aren't taking in any water, so your cells are thirsty in the morning! I personally keep a bottle of water next to my bed so I know I can just have a drink as soon as I wake up. I like to aim for a glass before I leave the house or start my day fully - but you might need more or less. It all depends on you and your body!


Compliment Yourself
Start your day in a positive way! If you have problems with confidence or self esteem, writing down two or three things you like about yourself every morning not only helps you create an atmosphere of positivity around yourself that carries on into the day, it also creates a list of awesome things about yourself that you can look back on when you aren't feeling so great.


Chat to a Friend
A quick catch up with a friend is another way to bring that first spark of positivity into your day! This could take many forms - a text thanking them for their friendship, a quick phone call, or even an offer to travel to school or work together. You'll both feel ready for the day after that!
