Old Brands - Dior - A Collaboration
Hi dolls.
This title might look familiar to you by now. For those of you who don't know; myself and Moosycakes are currently doing a series of collaboration posts on old brands. We started with DKNY, then DvF and now as you can probably tell this post will be on Dior.
The Dior Couture tribute is probably remembered by more of you as this was released in 2014. It was a really great tribute and even today on Stardoll items in normal stores such as It Girls + Bonjour Bizou are often inspired by Dior.
The one thing I love about the Dior brand both on Stardoll and in real life is that it's a more mature brand. The items can be seen as conservative, but at the same time they're so stylish. When I see Dior items on Stardoll I immediately think of Desperate Housewives or The Hamptons.
Here's Moosycakes' thought on this brand and her picks:
If you like flowy dresses and signature accessories, this might be one to look out for. One of my personal favourite items from this tribute are the Black Dior Heels (on my doll) - they're just so versatile! I love how they reflect the classic Dior shoe silhouette, and can be used just as easily in a casual style as in a formal look. When it comes to Dior dresses, my favourite has to be the Dior Silk Couture Dress (On the Pal)! The shape of this item is very flattering, and the built in sheer cape is an unusual yet stylish addition. I would definitely research Dior on Stardoll (and in real life) if I were you!
Great picks Moose! For me this collection was all about the handbags and heels. I more or less bought all of them and I'm still looking for a couple of heels even now. My top picks are the Black Trousers (on the Cassie Pal). Tailored trousers will always be in! These are must have and can be styled perfectly with a blouse and blazer. My next top picks are the mint coloured items (on the Marley Pal). Which brings me to my next point about this collection, the colours were the best part of this collection; from neutral tones to bright summery tones and then black/white items. There was something for everyone.
Well dolls, these are our top picks from this release. What are yours and is Dior a brand you will now be hunting down items from?
Hope you enjoy this post and have fun styling Dior!
~ Casey + Moosycakes
