Be Happy In Your Own Skin - Stardoll

Hey guys! It's me Sumy and today I'm going to be writing about who my doll is inspired by. Winnie Harlow.

Winnie Harlow is a 23-year-old Canadian model who is also the first model with vitiligo.

Vitiligo is a skin condition that affects around 1% of the world's population. The disease creates white patches due to a lack of pigment, melanin. It can be created in any location of the body and affects all races equally. Though, it is more visible in dark-skinned people. Evidence determines that the condition inherits from a group of genes that makes people vulnerable to depigmentation.

But don't worry, vitiligo isn't dangerous.

Aside from that, Harlow gained fame by appearing in America's Next Top Model and became one of the 14 finalists in the show's twenty-first cycle. From then on, she modelled for Italian and fashion brand and was featured in the issue of Cosmopolitan back in August 2015.

Winnie Harlow shows that you don't have to hide because of your differences. That's what makes you unique. Just be free. A quote that I'd like to tell from Oscar Wilde is "Be yourself, everyone else is taken." This so true, be happy in your own skin.

Thus, I want to start a new series 'Role Models' where I'll be talking about many inspiration. They may be a different name but they will be under the same category.
