Rejection - Get Through It!
Rejection is such a horrible feeling. To know that something out there has turned you down, well it can't be good. But rejection fuels insecurity, and we can't have that! So, here are a few tips on how you can get through your rejection, coming out happier:
* Let your feelings out - it's fine to process what's happened and to let out your feelings for a bit. Cry, scream, whatever, have a day or two to do it. Don't spend more than a week on this. Treat yourself during this bit though, don't go on that carb-free diet when you're already feeling quite upset.
* Don't take it personally - most of the time it isn't your fault and it can't be helped. It's not an insult to you, and you will be rejected many times in your life. Realise that, and you'll be so close to letting this go :)
* Distract - you've thought about this enough now, it's time to get this out of your mind. Do something fun, and if it ever goes into your mind, switch to something out. The more you think, the more sad you feel.
* It's unique! Just because it happened before with one instance, doesn't mean it'll happen again with another! Stay positive and know that it's not going to be 'no' everytime, but it won't be 'yes' either.
I hope these tips help, rejection isn't fun for anyone!
