Poetry Competition- Winner!
Welcome back everyone!
A while back, I launched a poetry competition here on the Starblog, stating that I would publish the winning entry once all entries had been received and processed. Before announcing anything about the winning poem, I’d just like to say, there wasn’t a single entry that I received that I didn’t find to be wonderfully written. This was such a hard choice; if you submitted an entry at all, I think your words are beautiful, and you are exceptionally talented!
That being said, I’d like you all to raise a big (virtual) hand for the winner of this competition, who is none other than the exceptionally talented doll ‘EMOTIONALCHAOS’!
Her poem ‘The Beauty Of Nature’ was one that I felt really spoke to me- when reading it, I was reminded of happy memories of being in my garden in the summer, yet I felt that this written piece also holds a deeper message of how everything in life is connected to nature. Without any further ado, let me share her work with you!
The Beauty Of Nature
The nature showed me things
That I was afraid to find,
Whether it was love,
Beauty or desire.
It opened my eyes,
From all the modern lies
And showed me a world,
Completely different from the one
In which every day I thrive.
It showed me a beauty,
Full of colors and life.
Of flowers and trees,
Which followed a cycle
Of living and dying.
They bloom of happiness,
They wither and cry,
But they hold a beauty
That is rare to find.
It shows the struggle That is life.
Go show this incredibly talented doll some love- as you can see, her work is exceptional.
Thank you to Gull (EMOTIONALCHAOS) for writing such a wonderful poem, and thank you once again to everyone who submitted, I would have made you all winners if I could ♥
Take care,
