Making Designer Investments
Avoid items that are difficult to style. Bright colours, neon, unusual textures, etc. You might find that you will wear them significantly less.
Avoid trendy items. Things go out of style and people get bored of them. If you want 'on trend' pieces look at budget stores instead!
Avoid designer trainers/sneakers. Their purpose is to be worn out and torn apart- they won't always look like they did when you first purchased them!
Avoid designer logo T-Shirts. They're just cotton with a logo, at a huge price. Is it really worth it?
Avoid statement jewelry. As cute as it is, spending huge amounts of money on items that may go out of style or you may get bored of is not the way to go.
Do invest in some classic pieces that can be easily styled. A plain pair of jeans, plain shirts etc.
Do choose understated jewelry. It is far less likely to go out of style and much more wearable- small and simple things work best!
Do opt for simple pieces that can be worn year after year. A simple pair of sandals that can be worn every summer or a simple coat that can be worn every winter will work great!
Do look for a high-quality black bag. A black bag is a wardrobe essential that almost every woman needs and uses every day, therefore pick one that you would be happy do do so!
Do get yourself a nice pair of boots. They're also a wardrobe essential for most of us, and a nice pair that is simple can be worn almost every day!
