Your Calm Space!

When I get stressed or anxious, I like to go to my bedroom and curl up with a blanket and a cup of tea.  This really helps me calm down, so I call it my Calm Space!  If you feel like you could benefit from having a calm space too, here are a few decoration ideas.  Feel free to think of your own!



The Cosy Space
If you're like me, then you might like to be surrounded with warm blankets and cushions when you're trying to relax.  A comfy armchair is the perfect space for this! Add positive books to read and a nice hot drink, and your space is complete.


The Nature Space
Many people feel that being surrounded by nature is the most calming thing to include in their space! A chair outside or near a window is the best place to create this space - make sure you have some nice plants near you!  Pair this with a cool glass of water or juice and a refreshing book (I recommend Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carrol), and you have a great place to relax in the sun!


The Social Space
If you relax by chatting to friends, then creating a Social Space might be for you!  You'll need a few places to sit - cushions on the floor will do.  Invite some friends over for tea and biscuits, and your space is complete!  Talking to your friends about your problems often helps you think through them yourself.
