- July 4th is the one day weekend of the year where you’re pretty much expected to wear red, white, and blue wherever you go—dressing in any other hue would be simply un-American. To make sure you’re waxing patriotic throughout your holiday getaway (or at least look like you are), we’ve rounded up some festive items to throw into your weekend bag. Sticking to the colors of the flag is mandatory, but you don’t have to forgo style for spirit: Your Independence Day wardrobe shouldn’t looked like it was purchased at the nearest party supply store. There’s a way to stay chic while staying true to the 4th’s trio of colors—click through for some ideas!

Though the rest of his collection was leather heavy, inspired by Russian spies and rich fabrics, he mentioned that the Vionnet-inspired gown, together with its elegant cape, was one of his favorites. Click through to see it with the cape!
