Why hate?
Hey, guys.
Today's post is a little dfferent from my regular posts. Everything you read or watch online with a comments section, there's bound to be some nice comments, some weird ones, some funny ones, some helpful ones and some that are mean. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, of course. But if your way of expressing it is posting hurtful comments, then why post at all?
I can't tell you how many times I've read through comments on my and other StarBlogger's posts, and found some comments saying exactly what they thought about it. I really don't have a problem if you don't like my blog posts. Not everybody will like the same things, and that's just a fact. But I do have a problem with comments that hate on the content, the writer, and the other commenters.
If you don't like my DIY's, then don't do them! If you don't like my tutorials, don't use them! And if you don't like my posts, don't read them! And if you do read my blog posts and not like them, don't leave a mean comment because there is, in fact, a person behind the screen who reads your comments, and they may or may not be very hurt by what you've written. I've learned to shake it off, but there are still comments that get to me. Comments reminding me that I misspelled a word, or made some other small mistake. I'm human, therefore I will accidentally mispell a word here and there, and that's okay!
I really felt like I needed to write this, because it's getting a little out of hand. I hope this helps some of you realize that you need to put yourself in the other person's shoes before you post a comment.
