Change it Up!
Lately, I've been in a bit of a slump. Call it November blues, fatigue, or just plain boredom, but I've just been struggling a bit to stay engaged with my life. Now, when this gets too extreme, it could mean a mental health problem, so it's important to watch for those signs, but for me, I really just need to change it up and do what I can to be motivated and active in my community. Here are a few of the things that have been helping me with this:
- Indulge in something new: I find that when I physically have something new, it can reinvigorate me. Getting a dramatic new haircut or even a new look for my doll can do the trick. If I have some extra cash, I'll splurge on new music, clothes, books, a phone case... the list is endless! If you can, try to physically change something in your life to make it more exciting. Even taking a different route home, or studying in a café can make a difference.
- Find new friends: Whether it's real life or Stardoll, new friends can bring new perspective and enjoyment to your life. Maybe say hello to that quiet kid you see every day, or send a request to the doll who's always posting nice things. It could be the start of something great!
- Check out some new activities: Does your town have a rec center, or somewhere with events going on? Check out your local papers and see what's going on in your community! You could try out for a play, join a sports team, or find a fun book club! If it suits your interests and you've got the time, why not give it a try?
How do you change it up in your daily life?
Til next time!
