Lanvin Does “Super Luxury” For Kids
Photo: Jeanne Lanvin/WWD
When Lanvin presents its resort collection next month, Alber Elbaz will have designed kiddie looks to match. According to the brand’s EVP, they’re going build the 25 looks with a “super luxury approach,” aka the same way they produce the rest of their collections. The brand is targeting children ages four to ten and though they haven’t yet priced the clothes, they imagine they’ll cost about ten times more than the average children’s clothing (though we think they mean average designer, not average Osh Kosh). It’ll hit stores in November (mostly Lanvin standalone boutiques and ecommerce, with a handful of wholesale clients) so that every kid can jump on the high-low fashion bandwagon in time for spring 2012.
