Exhaustion Is A Killer!
Tiredness is something we feel now and then, this post is about exhaustion. It can be brought on by stress, thyroid, diabetes and many other conditions/factors. I have been suffering from exhaustion due to an eating disorder - which affected my productivity at work, my ability to go out on late nights with friends and even getting up in the morning. Here are some tips on dealing with exhaustion:
- Rule out any health problems. This is because fatigue is a common symptom for many illnesses. I had a recent blood test to rule out diabetes and a thyroid condition.
-Exercise. This may feel like the last thing you'd want to do if you're feeling exhaused, but getting active helps to increase energy levels. Yoga is great for this too.
-Water. Drinking plenty of water and keeping hydrated is vital because dehydration lowers your energy!
-Early Nights. My recent car accident had a big part in this. Due to the fatigue of anorexia and having no energy from starving and late nights was a key factor to this. Getting a regular sleep pattern is super important!
