Styling Dior

The next tribute of the season was Dior! It's been a while since we have seen a Dior tribute on Stardoll (the last was inspired by Spring 2014 Couture!), and it also marks the first Dior tribute of creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri.

With my first two outfits, I focused on the denim pieces. Denim has become a staple on Dior's ready-to-wear catwalks. Fall 2017 saw light denim workwear- trucker jackets, slouchy jeans and boiler suits, where Spring 2018 featured denim berets, blazers, flared jeans and patchwork skirts. For the first outfit, I was inspired by the runway looks, and styled the flares with the feminist t-shirt, a waist bag, tied choker and denim beret. I added a fur coat inspired by the looks worn by Teddy Quinlivan and Jing Wen. For the second outfit, I styled the coat with matching choker and boots, keeping the rest of the look classic with the white shirt and pants. For a pop of colour I added the yellow bag.

For my next outfit, I continued with the inspiration from the runway looks. I layered the dress over a t-shirt (a slogan t-shirt or even a blouse would work too), and added the tied choker and mesh boots for a casual take. I would accessorise with a cross-body bag or mini handbag. Finally, my last outfit, I chose the denim jacket and beret again, this time teaming them with a matching denim miniskirt. To accessorise, the gold hoops, monogram bag and heels with gold accents work perfectly together. You could totally give this a 00's vibe by swapping the coat for a white fur, and the heels for knee-high boots.
