Achieving Your Resolutions!
The beginning of a new year is always a time for making resolutions, but all too often, we end up going back to our old habits. If you find that this is a problem for you, here are some tips to help make those resolutions last!
Make sure they're not too hard
The first step to changing your ways doesn't have to feel like climbing a mountain. Split your big resolutions into smaller, easy to achieve steps, and follow those to create your path to success! Be proud of yourself when you reach an interim goal, because every step you take brings you closer to what you want, and shows that you are dedicated.Reward yourself
Once you have little goals set out, decide on some small rewards to keep you on the right track. These might be small gifts to yourself, or special treatment that you wouldn't usually give yourself! Here are a few ideas:
- A small chocolate
- A long, relaxing bath
- A movie night with your BFF
- A cute accessoryInvest in your resolution
If you've spent some money on your goal, you are more likely to keep working towards it. What this means is different for every resolution, but here are a few examples:
- Exercise: Get some cute workout clothes
- Healthy eating: Get a good blender for smoothies
- Less computer time: Buy yourself a good bookWhat are your new years resolutions?
