Let's Talk ◇ Shaming
Dear Dollies,
Welcome to a new segment I'm starting called Let's Talk.
It's all about Self-Love and treating others right.
And I would very much like to start with the topic of shaming.
Shaming someone else is basically when you make someone feel guilty and bad about themselves for who they are.
Especially popular are Fat- and Skinny-Shaming.
First thing you need to know: Being fat or skinny isn't bad. People just like to make it out as bad. Then, if someone is suffering from health issues from being over- or underweight, trust me, they are aware of that and the last thing they need is mean comments putting them down. Instead, give them your love and kindness, be a friend.
Besides, many fat and skinny people are perfectly healthy the way they are. They are just naturally skinny or fat.
Look, I'm also a person who is naturally skinny, and I used to (and sometimes still do) get shamed like crazy and I used to let it get to me to the point where I forced myself to gain weight in every way possible and I actually ended up being seriously sick because my body just isn't cut out for that.
Always think before you speak.
There is nothing wrong with being fat or skinny.
Love always,
A. Rose
