Spam and Good Manners

Stardoll encourages guestbook interactions. This includes asking for a vote, to visit a bazaar or for a yearbook heart.

As long as everyone is polite, this works. But some people overreact. Those who report guestbook requests for votes or visits as Spam are abusing the report tool and may get a warning. Spam, when it does not apply to canned meat, refers to mass emails.

At Stardoll no member can send more than one message or post in more than one guestbook at a time. Members can always op out. You can close your guestbook or have it open for just friends. You can block members from posting. If you don't like a post in your guestbook, delete it. If you don't respond, the person is unlikely to come back.

I embrace interaction in my guestbook. If someone posts in my guestbook I choose what I do next. Often all I do is read the post and leave it. Sometimes I will visit a sale and then delete the post, so I won’t duplicate my visit the next time I log in. And sometimes I respond. Take control of your own guestbook and you will not need to get Support involved.

Play safe and have fun.
