Organising your Desk

For me, I'm most productive on my desk, which means it needs to be a clean and organised area. Here are some great ways to keep your desk organised:

* Boxes! Boxes are my best friend with organising my desk. I like to actually make big origami boxes which will all fit into one shoebox if I need to take it all off my desk. This makes it easier to locate what I need and it's easier to clean!

* Cups - I use these to store my pens as they're longer. Just use some cheap glasses (can be plastic) and if you think they look too boring, a strip of washi tape can do wonders.

* Only have your essentials - that means, stuff you actually need within arms' reach. My essentials are: my scissors, ruler, pen, pencil, tape, glue, phone and laptop cleaning cloth. For things which aren't essentials, keep it in a nearby shelf to avoid clutter.

* Label - this will keep things organised, but will also remind you where to put things. You don't need a high tech label maker for this, sticker paper or a Sharpie work equally well.

I do hope these tips help you, and how do you keep your desk organised?
