My Worth...

The other day I was asked to address the issue that I felt was the biggest problem facing teenagers today. I pondered for a minute, but then it hit me; inability to see self worth.

Particularly young women. Our society EXPLOITS us. A majority of hits on the radio revolve specifically among demeaning nature women are viewed. From an early age, we're taught to dress, act, look a certain way that is deemed as appealing and attractive.

Media influence is everywhere. It has become so common in our culture that we have blurred the line being right and wrong. Instead of aspiring for love and success, we allow toxic relationships and mistreatment to offer a false sense of fulfillment.

So what does it mean to know your worth?

For years, I've THOUGHT I knew my worth as a women. I THOUGHT because I was a confident person, who knew I had more to offer than beauty, that must've meant I knew my value.

Reflecting back, so many of my actions contradicted that. You should never allow anyone to put you in situations that make you feel uncomfortable. You should never allow somebody to exploit you; no matter how many apologies come afterwards. And you should never, ever, ever be in a situation where you feel as if another woman is your competition. In anything in life.

There's enough men, friends, jobs, opportunities for all of us.

Relationships, jobs, etc.. anything for YOU is meant for YOU. Anything in your path will be yours.
