Trends Inspired by London Fashion Week
I was lucky enough to attend some events at London Fashion Week this year and I can certainly state that it was indeed a wonderful experience, and a great insight into the oncoming trends for Spring/Summer. These were, for me, the outstanding trends:
1. Boho
Absolutely everything boho. My favorite example of this was the Matthew Williamson show- models all wore romantic, exotic looking chiffon dresses (including a dress almost identical to the Tropical Print Dress in the Jet Set store- something tells me that it inspired stardoll's graphic designers!)2. High Shine
High shine = High fashion, as shown by Topshop Unique. They mixed high-shine pleather like materials with tweed, lace and velvet to give a beautifully classy aesthetic.3. Romantic Floral
Burberry hit the nail on the head with their floral blanket wraps. They had a gorgeous, festival-like boho appearance, I'm looking forward to seeing more of these come summertime!4. Tassels
London fashion week was tassel heaven. Not only were there tassels on the catwalk, but even in the audience too. Eudon Choi was my personal favorite, presenting tassels in a poncho-like garment.5. Fringing
You could not escape the fringing, I can't recall a day where I didn't see at least 10 people wearing a fringed garment. For me, this is the trend to watch!
