Many girls, including me, idolize beauty that we see in magazines and movies. It gives us an image of bliss and happiness, and for some people hope.

Like many people, I don't fit this image of beauty. I struggle with acne, and other imperfections - which never seemed so bad until other people commented on them. Shortly after this, my mother bought me my first makeup kit, and so my obsession was born.

For me, I thought there was always something that could be improved or concealed, I wanted to look like a model in a magazine. I couldn't go outside without makeup, that was frowned upon.
Even the magazines would point out my flaws, teach me to conceal them and tell me that I was unattractive.

I want this to be broken down in 2015. It has taken me years to realize this for myself, and I hope that other people will do so too.
You are beautiful, however you were born to look and however you decide you wish to look.
