It’s not unusual to see crews of artists inside the windows of luxury boutiques on a seasonal basis, but to see skilled artisans work their magic on scaffolding? Only in Paris — and only Louis Vuitton. We stumbled across the not-yet open Vuitton Joaillerie store on the corner of the Place Vendôme on the Rue de la Paix after Balmain’s fall show. At least six people were hard at work, affixing individual gold, pin-sized dots to the already sketched design. If they put that much work into the cardboard barriers, we can’t wait to see what they do with the boutique.

- The two most powerful celebs in the world are now working together to prevent bullying - how great is that?! Lady Gaga and Oprah Winfrey visited Harvard yesterday to launch the youth-empowering "Born This Way Foundation." The foundation's purpose is to “foster a more accepting society, where differences are embraced and individuality is celebrated.” It was founded by Lady Gaga and her mother Cynthia Germanotta after a 14-year-old boy killed himself in 2011 because of bullying he endured online and at school. The nonprofit organization is partner's with Harvard's Center for Internet & Society and together they address "issues of self-confidence, anti-bullying, mentoring, and career development through research, education, and advocacy, in large part by harnessing the power of the Internet." "Bullying must become illegal", the singer stated on Twitter recently. We really support this foundation! A great step in the right direction! (rollingstone)

- We spotted Rihanna when she was seen leaving her hotel in London. She really has her own style, and her outfit is really something that only she could look good in. We love her original style!

- Last year at the Academy Awards, Natalie Portman was radiant and expecting her first child with fiance Benjamin Millepied. Well, this year it looks like she secretly tied the knot with Benjamin! The two were spotted with wedding bands on the ring fingers- so it seems that they tricked us all and got married! Congratulations are in due to the newly married couple- or maybe they've been married for awhile, we don't know! (usweekly)

- Sofia Coppola has recruited Emma Watson to star in her newest movie, "The Bling Ring." The movie will be based on the true events when a group of fame obsessed teens broke into the homes of celebs and stole valuable items. Sofia said that the movie will "reveal a sobering view of our modern culture." Emma will begin shooting with Sofia this spring! We know this is going to be a great movie, all of Sofia's movies are and Emma is such a great actress. (hollywoodreporter)

PARIS—It’s not that everyone didn’t look lovely at the Academy Awards this weekend (and yes, red carpet season’s pretty much over), it’s just that we find ourselves wishing year after year that someone would take a risk. Like Simon Doonan said a few months ago, we’re still talking about Bjork’s swan dress because it was the last time anyone wore anything interesting. While swans might be too far a stretch after a year of ladylike Vuitton gowns and vintage Dior, what about throwing some prints into the mix? In Paris this afternoon, Marco Zanini showed a handful of surprisingly loud gowns, all of which were fancy enough for a red carpet, yet playful enough for a young starlet. Sandwiched in between his ultra seventies brocade bell-bottom suits, granny chic cardigans and tweed tights were bell skirted gowns printed with over-sized checks or tile-like squares. Sure, they’re not for everyone, but they’re a beautiful alternative for someone tired of the sparkle-meets-fishtail look.
