Summer Foods, Winter Foods!
While it is summer for a lot of dolls, for dolls who live in the Southern Hemisphere like me, it's winter! No matter where you live, the food you eat can help you feel better about the weather and help you warm up or cool down. Here are some of my favourite winter and summer foods - try them out!
Summer
If you're trying to beat the heat at the moment, it's helpful to eat cold foods, light meals, and cooling flavours. Here are some of my faves!
- Popsicles made from frozen fruit juice
- Salads made with fruit or vegetables that are in season
- Cool lemonade with ice and a sprig of mint
- Avocado on toast with pepper
Winter
If the cold air is getting to you like me, hot, filling foods are the way to go. The addition of spice can also help warm you up from the inside! Here are my fave winter comfort foods.
- Hot chocolate with a freshly baked cookie
- A bowl of creamy oatmeal with nut butter, berries, or seeds
- A big bowl of hot vegetable soup with bread for dipping
- A grapefruit, halved and warmed with honey and cinnamonRemember, if you are going to be cooking, ask an adult to help you out!
