Dealing with Grief

vor 116 Monaten

Hi dolls.

Since Janurary I have been off Stardoll for quite sometime. I'm back now though and here to stay. The reason why I left Stardoll for a while is because I recently lost a family member - my Grandad.

It is really hard and at the time I just wanted to be on my own and at the same time just with my family. I'm going to list a few of the things I did that has helped me to deal with the grief and at the same time be happy again.

1. Talk about them. My family and I must have talked about my Grandad everyday for at least a month. We went over all the memories we had of him and it was really funny. We laughed, but then cried and I learnt things I didn't know about my Grandad that just made me miss him even more.

2. Being alone. At first when I found out we had lost him, I really just wanted to be by myself. I left Stardoll a little earlier last year due to the passing of my Grandma as well. I found it easier to focus on my exams and school work rather than to think about it. This is okay we all deal with the loss of someone in different ways.

3. Being happy. I love coming on Stardoll so much and it is one of the many things that make me really happy, being able to express my creativity with fashion and through writing. At the time I couldn't come on because it felt wrong that I should do something that would make me happy or make me forget about it for a few hours. Now though I have realised there are ways to keep his memory and that I need to continue doing what I love.

I know everyone has their own beliefs, but I do believe that there is more to life after death and whenever something reminds me of my Grandad I will always say it.

I hope this post has helped anyone dealing with any form of loss.
