The Culture Vulture's
TOP 10 TV Series Picks for the Season (So Far)

This season brought a variety of amazing new series and seasons to stream online and on TV. My personal favorite picks might seem a bit biased, due to my favorite genres remaining fixed between science-fiction, dystopia, and comedy.

Honorable mentions and other series I look forward to watching include: Preacher, along with other bingeable shows such as Fleabag, Barry, When They See Us, The 100, Stranger Things, Big Little Lies, Mindhunter, What We Do in the Shadows, Documentary Now!, The Act, Chernobyl, and Noughts and Crosses.

10. Another Life (An American science-fiction series that snuck up on me and left a good impression.)

9. Black Mirror Season 5 (A modern anthology series for fans of The Twilight Zone.)

8. Dark Season 2 (A German series for fans of Stranger Things. It employs time travel.)

7. Good Omens (Good for fans of David Tennant and apocalyptic comedies.)

6. If I Hadn't Met You (Si No T'hagués Conegut) (A Catalonian series -- simply incredible!!!)

5. Our Planet (Beautiful series for fans of Planet Earth)

4. The OA 2 (Brit Marling blessed us with an epic sophmore season, can't wait for part 3!!)

3. The Handmaid's Tale (A gut-wrenching tale of dystopian Gilead that continues to amaze...)

2. Euphoria (Produced by Drake, starring a talented ensemble cast, lead by Zendaya. The original soundtrack and score, editing, visuals and incredible camera work that will surely win this breakout adapted series many awards.)

1. Years and Years (The best breakout series of the summer! It will reel you in within the first episode and leave you begging for more. It's for fans of Black Mirror looking for the next best thing.)

I've recently become obsessed with documentary films again, expect to learn more in an upcoming post, and feel free to tell me what series you watched this summer.
