Tips when Travelling

Hi All, Alice here! 


I love travelling, sight-seeing and trying new things - but the journey to get there is sometimes not as fun...

I know that most people (and sometimes me) find the journey the best part of the trip; just not when you get travel sick. Travel sickness is horrible and I sadly experience it many times - but how do we take our minds off of it? 

Travelling is a dream for some, but a reality for a lucky fraction of people. I have been abroad approximately twice (to Greece and France). However, some people never go abroad in their childhood which is sad...


For those of you who do travel, here are some tips for feeling travel sick or just being plain bored:

1. Listen to some music - 

Always bring your phone/tablet with you and some headphones. Then, you can just drift away into your own world full of music you love! 


2. Look Down - 

If you suffer (like me) from travel sickness, don't look out of the window - look down. If you are looking at something moving, but aren't moving yourself, it confuses the brain - making you feel ill...


3. Read - 

Reading is a great thing to do because it transports you into another world! Your mind will be taken off of the journey and you will be improving your reading at the same time; which is great!
