Louis Vuitton Spring 2011, Imaxtree
For spring 2011, Marc Jacobs took the Louis Vuitton woman for a ride on the Orient Express. His Asia, Deco, and orientally-inspired collection bordered on costume and camp, but ultimately showcased just how seamlessly so many decadent pieces can work together. Golden metallics, dangling tassels, toggle ties, sheer floating fabrics, wide obi belts, lace-up sandals and lush colors all recalled the romantic Far East in art and film.
